Completely uninstall openjdk in RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

Hi all,

Today, I'll explain how to uninstall completely the openjdk from the RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) machine.

Some of the softwares requires only the Oracle Java and having the openjdk, sometimes causes an issue. So, some users wants to remove the openjdk from the linux machine.

Pre-requisites

• openjdk installed on the machine
• Check for java alternatives, when multiple java versions installed
• #> /usr/sbin/alternatives --config java
• Result with + is the currently selected java for the machine

Procedure

1. Find out the installed openjdk versions

#> rpm -qa | grep java
#> rpm -qa | grep jdk

Sample Output:

java-1.8.0-openjdk-1.8.0.191.b12-1.el7_6.x86_64

java-1.8.0-openjdk-headless-1.8.0.191.b12-1.el7_6.x86_64

2. Remove the all openjdk versions

#> yum remove <>

Example:
#> yum remove java-1.8.0-openjdk-1.8.0.191.b12-1.el7_6.x86_64

#> yum remove java-1.8.0-openjdk-headless-1.8.0.191.b12-1.el7_6.x86_64

Windows: Copy all file names in a folder

Hi friends,

I’ve got a requirement like, I want to copy all the file names from a folder in Windows.

After searching from Google, I’ve got one of the quick solution which is being described below

Procedure:

Navigate to the folder where you want to copy all the file name in “Windows Explorer”

Select all the files (Key Board (KB) Shortcut: Ctrl + a)

Press and hold the “Shift” key on your keyboard

Right click your mouse by pointing to any one of the selected file

From the context menu, select the option “Copy as path”

Now, open “Notepad”

Paste the content (KB Shortcut: Ctrl + v)

Now, you will be able to see all the file name with full path

You can remove the folder path, if you don’t want the full path

Display Flash SWF Object File in Max Width and Height of Browser (Autofit)

Hi coders,

Today I have come across a situation where I need to display some .swf file in browser by using 100% browser width and height irrespective of the screen resolution. Generally we will specify the object width and height while display the flash on browser.

But I want the flash content to get display in maximum (full) width and height of the browser to any screen resolution. i.e. Automatically it has to adjust the width and height of the flash object.

I have found the following method

• Please download the swffit from here 
• It has lot of custome functions which developers can use
• After downloading the zip file, please extract the content
• You can find lot of sample codes
• I have used example.html code and changed the fit method to 
• swffit.fit("my_flash", 1, 1, null, null, true, true);
• Now it will display the flash object in maximum width and height of the browser
