Download Chrome Extension for offline Installation

 Hi folks,

I tried to use my extension for offline usage for a VM based PC browser which doesn't have internet to download the extension.

So, I have come up with this approach where you can download the chrome extension (.crx) file.

Find the extension ID

Sample browser extension URL in chrome web store is below

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/previous-next-page/fmichikmgflpgibapdhepmodjdjemmda

Last word is the extension ID (fmichikmgflpgibapdhepmodjdjemmda)

Download the extension file

Browser: Use Mozilla Firefox or other browser but not chrome

Syntax

https://clients2.google.com/service/update2/crx?response=redirect&prodversion=<<browser_version>>&acceptformat=crx2,crx3&x=id%3D<<extensionID>>%26uc

Example

https://clients2.google.com/service/update2/crx?response=redirect&prodversion=85.0.4183.121&acceptformat=crx2,crx3&x=id%3Dfmichikmgflpgibapdhepmodjdjemmda%26uc

Install the extension

1. Copy the .crx file to your offline computer
2. Open Chrome browser
3. Navigate to chrome://extensions
4. Enable developer mode
5. Drag and drop the .crx file

Hope you will be able to use the offline extensions in chrome.

Unable to open WebEx issue on Windows 10 solution

Hi all,
I was facing an issue with opening WebEx on my Windows 10. I found the solutions from different sources and wants to share with you.

Procedure

1. Open the WebEx link in IE
2. Press F12 (Development Tools) on keyboard or from settings icon from top right corner IE
3. Navigate to “Emulation” tab
4. Select “Document Mode” as 9
5. Select “User agent string” as 9
6. Browser automatically refreshes
7. Now, you try to join/start the meeting
8. It should open the WebEx application

Display Flash SWF Object File in Max Width and Height of Browser (Autofit)

Hi coders,

Today I have come across a situation where I need to display some .swf file in browser by using 100% browser width and height irrespective of the screen resolution. Generally we will specify the object width and height while display the flash on browser.

But I want the flash content to get display in maximum (full) width and height of the browser to any screen resolution. i.e. Automatically it has to adjust the width and height of the flash object.

I have found the following method

• Please download the swffit from here 
• It has lot of custome functions which developers can use
• After downloading the zip file, please extract the content
• You can find lot of sample codes
• I have used example.html code and changed the fit method to 
• swffit.fit("my_flash", 1, 1, null, null, true, true);
• Now it will display the flash object in maximum width and height of the browser

Create custom mozilla firefox profile with browser settings customization in Ubuntu and Windows

Hi all,

Today I have customized my mozilla firefox browser with custom settings by creating my own profile in my user account.

Follow these steps in creating the custom profile for firefox in Ubuntu

1. Open terminal (Keyboard Shortcut Key: Ctrl+Alt+t)
2. Change the directory to mozilla preferences directory for user
• $ cd ~/.mozilla/firefox
3. Create a new directory yourname.default
• ~/.mozilla/firefox$ mkdir psr.default
4. Open the existing profiles.ini file
• ~/.mozilla/firefox$ gedit profiles.ini &
5. Replace the Path variable with the following
• Path=psr.default
6. Save and close the profiles.ini file
7. Change the directory to psr.default
• ~/.mozilla/firefox$ cd psr.default
8. Create a user.js file
   
• ~/.mozilla/firefox/psr.default$ gedit user.js &
9. Edit the all possible settings by following the references, which are listed down

Type in Indian languages in Computer Applications like MS Word, Notepad, Browser etc

Hi all,

I am very happy to share this information. We sometimes feel like typing the content in our native speaking language. Now we can type in our native language by using any one of the following tools.

• Google Transliteration Input Method Editor (IME)
• Microsoft Indic Language Input Tool -- Please choose the relevant language while installing
• Vishal's Pramukh

I personally tried with Google IME and I am impressed on Windows 7 Professional

Google IME Installation:

1. Download the Google IME from this link http://www.google.com/ime/transliteration/
2. Select your OS type (32-bit/64-bit)
3. Click on "Download Google IME"
4. Install the software and the installation will take sometime.

Microsoft Indic Language Input Tool Installation:

1. Download the tool from this link http://specials.msn.co.in/ilit/Telugu.aspx
2. You can see two versions of downloads
3. Web Version -- Browser
4. Desktop Version -- Computer PC
5. Download the relevant version for you and install it

Typing in Desired Language:

1. Right click on the taskbar -> Select Toolbars -> Select Language Bar
2. You will find the language bar with currently using language for typing the content. Default: EN (English)
3. Open the Microsoft Word
   
4. We can change the language by selecting the EN from taskbar to Desired Language which are listed.
5. Type in your language by following the suggestions while typing in English.
